“Why don’t you?” Ian suddenly felt annoyed— Annoyed at basically everything Mickey was doing. The pushing him away, the acting like a complete dick to him. He sighed and shook his head. “Sorry. I’m gonna go, alright?”

While he wouldn’t admit it out loud, the idea of Ian leaving  made something in his chest hurt. Sure, he was bad about conversation. He was really bad about treating Ian the way he deserved. But he wanted to try, and he definitely wouldn’t be able to make any ground if he kept scaring Ian off. “Don’t- I didn’t mean it like that, alright?”

Ian’s eyes flickered something that could be considered pain for just a moment before turning back to their blank state. “Yeah? Explain how you meant it, then. Go on. I’m waiting.”

Lip chuckles lightly, “What’s the matter- Mickey not fucking you on the regular anymore?”

Ian raised a brow, a smirk suddenly appearing on his face. “You realize it’s the other way around, right?”

Lip grinned and looked down before meeting Ian’s eye again, “That’s far more information than I need to know about my little brother.” 

Snorting, Ian shakes his head. “Seriously? I just told you that I don’t take it up the ass and you think it’s too much information?”

Ian felt that familiar sting in the pit of his stomach, but he was used to it by now. He forced a smile and took a step back, hands clenched at his sides. “Alright.”

After keeping his eyes downcast for a few moments, Mickey chanced a glance up at Ian. Immediately, however, he wished that he hadn’t. “Knock it off, would you?” He looked over the other’s shoulder, trying hard to not make eye contact. Not when Ian had that look on his face.
